The Kitagawas
Couldn't possibly be happier with the photos we got from Jen! I can't stop looking at all of the beautiful shots she captured. She has an incredible talent for bringing out the best in the simplest of moments. And she so naturally moved about the house, that I never once felt the least bit awkward despite usually being a little camera shy. I also love that the photos are a mix of us and simply shots of our apartment. Seeing ourselves, our apartment and the possessions within it through Jen's eyes really shows that there's beauty in places and in situations that I never thought to look before. Thanks so much Jen!

These are AMAZING!!! Once again, I'm so blown away by how quickly you got these to us, and just how incredible and real (except prettier!) and special they feel. It’s quite emotional reflecting on what's different and what's the same since our first shoot with you. Oh gosh, and the song and the slideshow!!!! We were both grinning the whole time. I honestly don't know how she does what she does, but she had some kind of natural, magical talent. Jen has such an eye for lighting and framing, and she captures the most special, unexpected moments. Some of my favourite images from both shoots are of moments I don't even recall happening...and to think, if she didn't catch them, I would never have known they occurred ❤️ Thank you, Jen! Where to start!? Jen not only inspired me in my own creativity but also provided my new family with some authentic beautiful photos to hold on to forever! Had great conversation with Jen throughout the shoot, and as I think back to it I often can't even recall where she was when she shot half of the photos we ended up with!

They are amazing, everything and more than I could have asked for.
I love how you captured our family but also how you got all these little elements of what makes this baby-on-the-cusp of toddlerhood stage so fun and cute with him. His little curls, fascination with the littlest details like pouring water, how he still has some babyfat wrists and the dimples for elbows. I didn’t even think this was what I wanted to capture but you did this and it’s that much more special for us.

We loved our session with Jen! She is very easy going and professional. During our shoot, it almost felt like she wasn't there. I booked a photo session with Jen for my mom, 4 month old son, and my dog. Jen was an absolute pleasure to work with - from the moment that I reached out I could tell she was an empathetic and wonderful storyteller looking to capture moments in an authentic and intimate way. She made my mom and I both extremely comfortable, as we’re both extremely camera shy and our session flew by so quickly without a moment of awkwardness or nervousness. When we received the final photos from Jen, I was in tears; her work is so beautiful. Jen captures the beauty in the little moments, things that you might miss as you’re caught up in trying to get to the next thing, and every time I look at these photos I am reminded to slow down. It’s magical, especially when you look at the photos with the song pairing Jen recommends. I would happily work with Jen again and know that we’ll be connecting again in the future.

The Kitagawas
While Jen was at our place, we just went about our day like normal, cooking, eating, and just hanging out. But after seeing our pictures, we were so surprised! All the pictures of this regular day suddenly became truly precious. Even pictures of our teacups, and little moments like sitting on the couch together, or random moments like when I was helping my husband put a heat pad on his neck. Seeing Jen's pictures of all this are what made me think that every moment is special and beautiful. At first I was worried about really cleaning my apartment before Jen arrived. But even though I didn't get to everything in time, it didn't matter and I'm actually glad I didn't. These pictures really look like my home, and even the ones where you can see some mess, Jen somehow makes it beautiful.
